Zinc oxide varistors are made through high-temperature sintering, which main raw material is zinc oxide (ZnO), and doped different proportions of metal oxides, such as bismuth oxide (Bi2O3), antimony trioxide Sb2O3, cobalt oxide (Co2O3), and their volt-current characteristics are nonlinear overvoltage protection semiconductor components.
ZnO varistors, as overvoltage protectors, are mainly used in power supply system, surge suppressor, security system, motor protection, automotive electronic system, household appliances, outdoor lighting system, etc.
